“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Service to others, especially children, is an important component of the Kiwanis and the Kiwanis South County. It takes all of us to make a difference and we need you. Kiwanis is a fellowship of everyday people looking to change the world one child at a time.
The Kiwanis Club of South County is an active club who shines the light on community organizations who work hard on behalf of children and others. We honor those who are making our region a better place. We regularly shine the spotlight on members of law enforcement and first responders. We celebrate outstanding students in the Mehlville School District, and Terrific Kids. We believe that ‘reading is fun’ and do our best to put books in the hands of children.
We listen and take action with local nonprofits who are following our lead in making a difference in the lives of others, especially children.
Our dedicated and loyal members, along with their families believe in the power of giving back, and doing for others. The Kiwanis Club of South County has a long and rich history of stepping up to do the right thing, and in doing so, we have created a culture of putting others first, because help is always needed and we are ready to lend a hand.
Please join us. We need you, and others like you, to continue our rich tradition of making our community better, stronger, and kinder and by helping one child at a time, we are creating a pathway for others to follow.
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
Are you ready to help create communities that let all children thrive, prosper and grow? It’s pretty easy to do! Simply contact us with your questions and ask for an application.
The kids in your community and the world are counting on you!
